ARTIST AND DESIGNER
MyRa
Fine art born on the shores of the Peace River. Sand, sea grapes, and the beauty so often overlooked.
THE WORK
From the river to the gallery
MyRa began her design journey after a transient man gifted her hundreds of sea grapes. In that unexpected kindness, she found a way to see beauty in what is so often overlooked.
She created art in the sand with rocks, flowers, berries, shells, and other organic treasures. Small spindles grew into installations as wide as ten feet. Photographs of the work carried its joy farther still.
When a loved one suggested tapestries, the materials grew to include epoxy, dye, wax, beads, plaster, and cotton. What began as a little peace and creative expression found a home in the fine arts.
